A very great location in the northern Greece mountains, has been choosen to held this travellers-meeting, were attendes from all over the world gathered together...
A 30€ attendence fee was required, but it paid itself, because there were several workshops done. Like Hanno, the second German at meeting :-), who was on his way back from Georgia. He explained us, which tools are necessary on the road while travelling with a motorbike.
Hanno also teached us how to fix a flat tire along the road and how to change it, as well if it get's necessary...
There was also an "off-toad training course" done by a guy who took part in Paris-Dakar 2009 - 2011. Very interesting and we took a very close look to his bikes! Maybe sbdy. found a new passion....!?! :-)
Every evening they were 4 till 5 presentations done by people, who have either done extraordinary travell or some other unexceptional actions. Right after signing up for the meeting, which I already did in May, Dimitris the organizer asked me to hold a presentation about my past travells. Although I considered myself as the "rookie" up that meeting I thought; "I've got a story to tell...!" So it happened that I did a presentation called "There is another choice...!!!" on the very first evening and told about how I got into this kind of travelling and what happend to me during the last three years and that I was living a 180° opposite lifestyle before ...
One more time I was really suprised about the behavior the people brought to me! Most of them have been very interested in my story and wanted to know more about it and myself. Also two young guys, there were bikers as well, wanted to do an interview with me about the whole story the next day, for their internet-radio station... :-)
Mila had several of her pictures for sale and made some many that way... :-)
During all those days we met soo many nice people and travellers! Just awesome!!
So was Dennis from Wales, who is travelling across Europe for 5 - 6 months! He was the one who has travelled with the scooters in the Sahara! Beside him, he was travelling together with Tess and Joel from British Columbia / Canada, who have already travelled North and South America and are now in Europe during their RTW-trip (round the world) on Kawasaki Sherpa 250 ccm bikes...
One afternoon we climbed up the mountain and took "the old grumpie" - that's how he considers himself - Dennis with us! Very great at all, one more time!
Downhill was even more difficult than climbing up! ;-)
Back in the campside we found Susanne doing a body-painting job on the new born star of top-modelling Joel... ;-)
Suddenly on Sunday it occured that 30 Liters of beer had to been drunk instead of throwing it away!
So it was a very easy deciscion to stay one day longer here at the campside :-) So like you can see in the picture below with Dimitris, the main organizer of this great meeting...
We had a veeery great and nice weekend here at the ""Tzoumerka mountain" and just gathered more impressions to just travell further... ;-)
